Our History: The Competitive Foot was started in 1974 with one store in Western Springs and then the Oak Park
store followed in 1977. At the time it was unheard of to have a store only carrying athletic shoes. The Competitive
Foot was the first athletic shoe store to open up in Illinois!
Services We Offer: We expertly fit our customer's with a specific measurement of both
feet, a study of their arches and offering gait analysis to be able to present the best footwear possible for their needs.
We also offer to our customers the ability to run up the street and back to "test-drive" the footwear, weather permitting.
